Ever Get Run Over By A Sausage?

Living in St. Louis most of my life, I am a born and raised St. Louis Cardinals fan. No other city or club does baseball better than St. Louis. We may not have the best team every year but we have the second most World Series wins and a baseball enviroment you just can't beat. The Commissoner of Baseball was quoted saying that the prefect day in baseball is St. Louis in Opening Day. That should be enough said. The city shuts down and throws a party to welcome the Boys of Summer back.

Last nite while in Milwaukee one of our boys almost bite it. You have to understand that some baseball clubs have resorted to gimmicks to attract crowds, they can't just rely on the team and the love of the sport. And Milwaukee has sausage races. Yep, people dressed up as sausages racing on the track of the infield. Cute, nah, funny when you are drunk, possibly. :)

LaRue must have forgotten where he was when coming out of the dugout. Well, just watch the video to see the rest:

And you better have laughed, because that was funny!

If It Is Good Enough For Obama...

than I had to try it out.

I love pizza. It is one of my comfort foods. And living in St. Louis, I have a lot of kinds at my fingertips. Granted, I will say that nothing top New York style pizza in New York City itself, but there are some that come damn close.

So when a friend of mine called me up and asked me to go for pizza, she and I both knew I couldn't refuse. I had been wanting to try a pizza place out for awhile that Obama had raved about so much, he actually ordered pizza from this restaurant and had it delivered to the White House. Granted to say, being a Chicago politician, Chicago didn't take it all that well.

The place is Pi in the Delmar Loop. The best piece of advice that I can give you is get there about an hour before you want to eat. It is worth the wait, but that is exactly what you are going to be doing...waiting. It wasn't too bad though, only about 20 minutes for a table and than the deep dish takes about 25-35 minutes to get to your table.

I love that you can make your own pizza. I had the deep dish (amazing cornmeal crust) with mozzarella, gorgonzola, pepperoni and roasted garlic. Can you say yummy!! I also had the bada bing salad to start things off. The small was the perfect size to spilt between two people. I was afraid that is maybe too sweet, but it wasn't. The cheese gave it just that little tang that kept it from going over to the too sweet side. And I finished up with the vanilla bean ice cream. Can you say delicious! Everything was very reasonably priced as well. Two people with tip for under $50.

And I would like to mention that they had a nice selection or beer on tap. I had my first pint of Mothership Wit and think I have found my new fav beer!

I will be back again to try something new on my next deep dish!!!

Is There A Doctor In the House?

While I was out this weekend I was in the company of several doctors. For some reason, it was early in the morning, or late in the nite, whichever way you prefer to put it and the topic of SEX came up. Yep that is right, I am surronded by doctors and we are talking about sex, this never has a good outcome...EVER, especially when everyone is so trashed that the doctors are actually smoking! How is that ironic for ya?

So they asked me if I had ever been with a doctor. I was in a relationship for about six months with a pediatric heart specialist. It ended because dating a man like that was almost impossible at both stages of our lives. He was always at the hopsital or on call and it just wasn;t that fulfilling for me. So...back on topic. I told them that I had and while the sex was good it was never that GREAT. It had the makings of what could be great sex but just never went there for me.

I do have a theory on this one and it is good. The reason it is hard to have GREAT sex with a doctor is that they are too in tune not only with their own bodies but with yours as well. Mine never cut free and let it be about him at times I wanted/needed that. Isn't there a time where a woman just wants to please her man in the bedroom and can't a guy just lay back and enjoy it instead of worrying about you and your needs. Sigh. Yeah, I know, how horrible right? Well after the first couple of times it will get on your nerves, trust me.

So these doctors asked if I ever had the chance to date a doctor again would I. My simple answer to that is no. I don't want a man who is too in tune with my body like that ever again. That may sound weird but that is the whole reason that I would think long and hard before getting involved with a doctor ever again.
